WHAT STAYS is a short film I directed during my five-month internship
in Vancouver, working alongside documentary filmmaker Mack Stannard.
The project subtly explores themes of absence, grief, and the
acceptance of loss.
It was shot in a single evening at Kitsilano Beach, a place I grew particularly fond of during my stay, whose atmosphere felt like the perfect match for the tone of the film.
